Politicians and officials have failed to act on climate change
Politicians and officials have failed to take effective action on climagte change due to poor decision making and corrupt decision making.
The threat from climate change has been known for decades. International agreements have been made but they have been inadequate and compliance with them has been poor.
Global CO2 emissions have continued to increase [1]
UK greenhouse gas emissions have not fallen (despite official claims) [2]:
Deficiencies in decision making by the politicians and officials include
- ignorance and arrogance
- misleading/deceitful reporting
- cowardice: taking the easy choices rather than the right ones
